Day and Night, Night and Day

My poor body is so confused! I've not fully adjusted to the time difference, which is weird for me. I keep waking early and then not being able to fall asleep when i'm supposed to. Then, yesterday, I slept all day because I wanted to kick this cold, so I think my poor brain thought it was normal night time again. And then I tried to get it to fall asleep again at night here... and well, you can see that I am slowly turning nocturnal. Hopefully tonight will be better after a full day of traveling and sightseeing!

I must say this though, Mom- you are so smart! The cold I picked up over here was turning into a nasty sinus infection which would have made the rest of my trip miserable, and I took your advice that you give every time I have a cold and steamed myself not once but five times in one day! (and no, that's not a hitchman exaggeration) And what do you know? It worked! I feel ten times better today, and that's the quickest I ever have recovered from a cold. It barely lasted three days! So, three cheers for Mom!

Meanwhile, I am in Scotland... today we went and saw the quaintest little town called North Berwick. Heather W's grandpa grew up there, so it was neat for her to be able to video it to take home to her family. We were nearly defeated by the wind and rain, but after sitting out the worst of the storm in a cafe, we persevered. (And i do mean storm. there were definitely ice chunks hitting our faces in the midst of stormy gales. We were most certainly soaked through.) We also happened across this adorable little town outside the Castle Dirleton. We took hundreds of pictures so that you will all soon see how wonderful it was.

Traveling this time of year isn't easy over here though- I issue a warning to anyone who doesn't live in Seattle. The forecast for the rest of our trip is rain, rain, rain! I find it to be rather appropriate for Scotland, although soaked to the bone is never fun. Give me a cup of warm soup (preferably some kind of chowder) and i'll be fine! AnnaLauren's friend from home was telling us about this one she had out on the coast here called Trinity Chowder. Apparently it has three kinds of fish in it, and she told us that she had never lived until she tried this soup. Sounds good to me! I haven't found it yet, but hopefully i will soon if this rain keeps up!

We've got moderate sun my parts (though a bit chilly). Oh, that rain sounds so marvelous! I wish I could be there to bask in it (though I'd need a good haircut first).
Does this mean you're over your cold? That would be gret! I'm still sickish, but today during my break I had...a grande Passion Tea on the rocks! DUM, Dum, dum. It was pretty decent. Not sure if it helped or not (or even counts as tea?), but it was fun to try.
Have fun and remember what I always remind you to remember :).
