BeTwitched

Well friends, I made it to Scotland, and I'm having a marvelous time! There is, however, a small setback which I was not counting on. My left eye seems to have developed a twitch which I've not experienced since the days of my stressful old boss. Every five minutes or so, my eyelid just randomly flutters, driving me absolutely crazy! Heather W was kind enough to do the following research for me:

The most common things that make the muscle in your eyelid twitch are fatigue, stress, and caffeine. Once spasms begin, they may continue off and on for a day to more than a week. Then, they disappear. Most people experience this type of eyelid twitch on occasion and find it very annoying. (http://health.allrefer.com/health/blepharospasm-info.html)

Funny- fatigue? In a eight hour time difference where I completely skipped a night of sleep on the plane and have slept one good night's sleep since because my nose won't stop dripping and I keep waking up at five in the morning for no apparent reason? That can't be it.

Stress? Traveling across the world to a foreign country to a crazy airport where I got lost and grilled by the passport officer and have since depended on our own navigational skills to get us home each night? Not likely

Caffeine??? Me??? In a country where the tea flows freer than water and I'm so freezing cold and sick that I might as well attach an IV? I can't see where these people come up with these things.

Don't worry friends, I'll soon be back to normal. OH! There it goes ......... oh! oh! Kleenex! (and she runs to the bathroom - Heather Noren)

Don't worry, you were witty indeed. Well, I got it anyway.
I doubt there's much that can stop you from having fun over there. Look at it this way, at least you have a great story(s) to tell now :).
