It's about time!

Sorry about the posting delay... It seems I have spent too much time away from my computer and have become "out of the loop."

Today was a good day! I got up at 3:15, went to work and was so crazy busy that it was time to go before I even had time to think about it. I came home and was in a total cleaning mood, so after I did all my dishes and got my laundry started, I began to scrub my stove (including those under the burner things that get so groosss). Then I realized that this was a bad idea, because my hands are so beat up and raw from being dried out at work (we're undergoing a remodel and there's tons of dust, added to the fifteen times a day I wash my hands, all the paper I handle and the superpowerful sanitizer we use everywhere!) Anyway, since I didn't want to scrub my hands off (oh yeah, and yesterday I accidentally sanded part of my finger off, :0 so that hurt too) I decided to find a drier activity.

Well, last week I was reading in a book by Chuck Swindoll about the blessings that come from sacrifice and cheerful giving, etc. It made me thing of the box I have that is sitting around waiting for some close friend to have a garage sale so I can make a few bucks off my junk. I was a little bit convicted, because I wanted to capitalize off people who just can't refuse a deal. So here I was thinking about this on Saturday night, and lo and behold Sunday morning, my pastor announced that the international school that meets in our church building is having a garage sale to raise money, and that they are accepting donations. Ding, ding ding! Brilliant! I get rid of my junk, but don't have to just throw away perfectly good junk, and in the process I am helping other people! Yes! SO, all that to say, I spent my afternoon cleaning out all my belongings looking for things to donate, and I was able to get rid of three boxes that I had just sitting around filled with stuff! (Jenny- you would be so proud! But guess what? I still have the snoopy eraser! Muahaha)

I think I'm also just in an exceptionally good mood because tomorrow is day one of a THREE DAY WEEKEND! yay!
