Moving up in the world

Wow! My district manager came into my store today to talk to me... Apparently our district is in need of qualified supervisors to move into the role of assistant manager... like me! She said that although they had orginally planned for me to do my interview in January, they are in such dire need it will likely be in the next couple of weeks, and could I please have my resume ready by next week? She also said to e-mail her the rough draft, and she'd help me get all the phrasing right! How cool- it's so nice to have an advocate. I had been feeling not quite ready too, but she thinks I am, and it was her opinion of me I was doubting most. I know Troy (my boss) thinks I'm ready, but that's like your mom saying you're cool. (Sorry mom). He's just so excited to get me promoted and see me do well that he may be blinded in terms of areas where I'm not yet ready. Anyway, he had mentioned last week that Jackie (my dm) felt like I needed to step up more. However, while she was in the store today, she saw my latest project for tracking our sales goals posted on the back fridge, and she was so excited and said, "who did this?" Yay for impressing the big boss! Ok, now congratulate me already!
